Since early childhood, Jerredi has trained extensively in ballet, tap, jazz, and contemporary dance. Along with participation in various competitions, participation and workshops, Jerredi achieved a high standard in Major Examinations including RAD Advanced 1 and Grade 8, ADAPT Jazz and CDTA Tap. She was awarded an Alberta Foundation for the Arts dance-training grant allowing her to study at the Children’s Dance Theater in Toronto, Ontario with the RAD Sundance Program. After graduation, Jerredi was awarded academic and artistic scholarships to pursue post secondary education with the School of Alberta Ballet and the University of Calgary.
Jerredi holds Registered Teacher Status with the Royal Academy of Dance (with Distinction) and has entered students successfully into exams pre-primary through Advanced 1. She is qualified as a Level 2 instructor with Acrobatic Arts, and has obtained her teachers certificate with ADAPT (Associated Dance Arts for Professional Teachers). Most recently, Jerredi has been accepted as a Mentor for the Certificate of Ballet Teaching Studies with the RAD and is excited to share her knowledge and encourage young teachers to pursue their goals.
Believing strongly in the benefit of pursuing examinations and higher-level training, Jerredi has gained many other qualifications with programs such as Progressing Ballet Techniques, International Dance Teaching Standards and Leap and Learn. She is passionate about the education of dancers and strives to provide a well-rounded approach to dance training.
As a choreographer, Jerredi has created pieces for many local productions including the Medicine Hat Concert Band Society Christmas Show, and Alexandra Middle School. She worked with the Jeunesse Classique Ballet Society as the local rehearsal coordinator for the Medicine Hat production of the Nutcracker. In 2015, Jerredi’s choreography was accepted for Carnival Cruise lines where her students performed an hour long production of ‘A Little Mermaid’ while on board. She is proud to have offered her students many additional dance opportunities including a studio trip to New York where dancers participated in classes at Alvin Ailey and Broadway Dance Center, and learned routines from ‘Mean Girls’ cast members.
Jerredi maintains a healthy desire for knowledge attending workshops and seminars including the Dance Teacher Life Conference in Orlando, Florida and Scottsdale, Arizona. Her passion for learning has also inspired her to pursue courses and participate in dance classes in Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Toronto, Los Angeles, San Diego, Sante Fe, Connecticut and New York.
