Music & Movement with Me Program

Toddlers participate in singing songs and moving their bodies to the music, exploring different tempos and rhythms. Movement songs are often accompanied by beginner dance moves(marching, tip-toeing, hopping, jumping, etc.) to make learning fun and to improve motor skills, coordination, and rhythm. Toddlers improve their balance, coordination, and rhythm through dancing and movement activities. Music and movement activities like singing rhymes and songs help toddlers learn new words and concepts. 

Simple instruments are often used to encourage rhythm and musical exploration, learn musical concepts such as beat, and help develop hand-eye coordination. Providing children with an array of age-appropriate musical instruments, from shakers and drums to xylophones and hand bells, encourages exploration, creativity, and self-expression. 

Children are encouraged to express themselves through free movement, mimicking animals or creating their own dance moves. Props such as scarves and ribbons may be used.

Classes are parent-and-me style, allowing parents to participate and support their child's learning. Through your participation, you are encouraging your child to explore, have fun, and move to the beat—it’s one of the best gifts you can give them!
