Competitive Programs

The dress code for our Company Program classes includes:

Black Leotard, beige and/or pink tights, genre-specific shoes.

We ask that all dancers wear their hair in a ponytail or a bun in order to keep off their face.

We are invested in comprehensive dance  training for our students, and are proud to offer a wide variety of  programming for dancers of all ages and technical abilities.  Dance exams are  an excellent way for dancers to work towards a goal by studying a  standard syllabus that is developed with age and development appropriate  building blocks for the students. 

Dance exams are fun, challenging, and  hold students accountable in their training. We encourage our students  to participate in dance exams because they encourage dedication and  promote students to find their passion of dance through hard work,  discipline, and goal setting. Dance exams are offered to company students through invitation. 

Dance exams are performed by an outside examiner associated with the  dance syllabi the dancer is training in. At LimeLitez our students train in and are examined through the ADAPT tap and jazz syllabus,  RAD ballet syllabus and the Acrobatic Arts Syllabus. We offer all levels of the ADAPT, RAD and Acrobatic Arts exams.

It is our goal to instill in our students a passion for performing rather than merely the desire to win awards. We believe the lessons learned through extra performances are as valuable as the competition experience. 

Our solid reputation for quality reflects our attitude toward competition and our goal to develop in each student a genuine respect for dance as an art form. We consider students’ participation in competitions not merely part of their dance training; it’s also an important part of how we influence their growth as people. With the right focus, the experience gained in competition can be an excellent source of self-confidence. 

LimeLitez Students are expected to attend 4 competitions and are able to add additional competitions if available. Micro mini students attend only 2 local competitions.

Each spring our dancers take part in a studio picture day. We provide your rental costumes and all you have to do is show up! Photos can be ordered through the photographer after they are previewed. This is a great keepsake for your child!

It is such an exciting process for our dancers to perform in our dance recital! The recital is always a highlight of the year when the dancers growth and improvement is showcased on stage in such a special  setting!
